About Ferncliff

History/Timeline

Developed by the Housing Resources Board (HRB), the Ferncliff Village project sits on 6 acres and will consist of new quality, affordable homes featuring innovative features in sustainability, green building design and low-impact development.

HRB received the land for the Ferncliff project as a pledged donation in 2007 and will hold it in trust for the community to provide affordable housing for perpetuity as a Community Land Trust (CLT). As a CLT HRB is able to sell homes on the land at a price affordable to moderate to low-income homebuyers.

Ferncliff Village consists of two phases:

Phase one:  Infrastructure to be complete September 2011

Phase one:  Homes to begin construction, fall 2011.  The first four individual homes to be complete early 2012 with the remaining homes to be completed by the end of 2012.

Phase two:  24 Multifamily homes scheduled for 2015.
